Today, let\u2019s consider Philippians 1:18 (NASB95), which reads:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

18<\/sup> What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed; and in this I rejoice. Yes<\/strong>, and I will rejoice,<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

This verse says that even though some may preach the gospel for personal gain, the important thing is that the gospel is preached.  Let me restate that: the important thing is that the gospel is preached! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The big takeaway for me is what Paul wrote should be a lens through which I view other churches.  Looking through this lens does not mean I ignore wrong teaching, but the primary focus should be on do they facilitate the expansion of the kingdom of God? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Is a church preaching the saving gospel of Jesus Christ? <\/p>\n\n\n\n
